Kept by grace, sustained by grace, loved by grace, resting in grace. It truly is Amazing Grace. His name is Jesus.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
This is a picture of the platform at GCC with the pulpit and the cross behind it. It is a great honor and responsibility to teach the Word each week. It is only by the Grace of God that we have this privilege. The picture reminds me that the Word - His Word - is only taught (the pulpit) by His grace, through His power, with His leading and empowerment (the cross).
So nice to have our kids in church this week.
A mini-family reunion. They came from the North and they came from the South. The met here…in God’s country, for a little r and r…revival and renewal in the Lord. Thank you Jesus for your love and grace.
Garfield Community Church
There is something truly mystical about this place…you can feel it…it is sweet, warm and inviting, loving and tender, safe and sure…it is the presence of the Lord. Come by any time…the door is always open, the coffee is always on…even the UPS guy senses it, just ask him. (right, Troy?)
Teaching through Colossians this Spring
What an amazing book…The Supremacy of Christ over all things. The most wonderful, exalting, powerful revelation of the Glory and Majesty of our Lord Jesus Christ
Christ and Him Crucified
The old rugged cross where the dearest and best gave His all. He who knew no sin became sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. 2 Cor. 5:17.
Creation declares his Glory!
Garfield Community Church
This little chapel has been the home of many, countless believers since 1911. From this quaint church in the country God has shone his glory, touched many lives, and given light to those in darkness. Garfield Community Church has stood as a “beacon in the night” throughout the years as it has drawn many a wayward and lost soul to the safe harbor of God’s love and grace.
Read to Lead
The more we read the more we learn and grow. The Bible, God’s word, is the very center and heartbeat of all we do. He has also given us the opportunity to rub shoulders with wise men and women throughout the world through books, CD’s and the internet. Pictured are some of the many wonderful books we will be exposed to this year.
Enter to learn - Go forth to serve!
Every Sunday is a magical, mystical time of fellowship and ministry as the Lord moves through His body touching people in powerful, wonderful and life changing ways.

Mt. Hood in the Cool Winter Evenings
Everyday this wonderful mountain surprises us with another new face…what an incredible joy! Mount Hood watches over us each day and night reminding us of the Lord’s rock solid presence. He is our Rock!

Pastor Mike's desk
This is my “secret place” - this is where it all happens! I love the fact that I get to live and minister in such a beautiful place, surrounded by the Lord’s beautiful creation. I “go to work” by walking the short distance from my house to the Chapel…and here, in this sweet, holy place, I commune with the Lord as He fills me, teaches me, guides me and empowers me…I can hardly call it “work”- it is such a joy!

Time in the Studio
Pastor Mike uses his voice to narrate books, record commercials, and create character voices for videos and video games. His favorite thing to do is to teach the Word of God via the internet.
Had to do it!
For the 18th birthday of my son Mario, we jumped out of a perfectly good plane…Mario, Michal and I…yes it was scary…and yes it was super fun! Did it in Molalla
Would I do it again?
Only if I got to do it with my sweet Betsey.

Some of the Crew
It is always so fun when the kids come home to visit…especially when there are so many at once. We sure love our kids!
What better way to cool off after a long, hot day on the farm.
